I shudder to think what might have happened if it had been released first. It feels like an unpolished beta version of Enemy Unknown. It's no good and it wasn't worth the wait. Is it any good? Was it worth the wait? Would my life have been any different if I had played Terror From the Deep back in 1995? Why doesn't cat need to use a gasmask when he goes outside? The answers are no, it wasn't, it wouldn't, and cat doesn't breathe, that's why. Practice what you preach, that's my motto. I wrote a much longer post about it for my blog, with pictures, but I'm going to summarise my thoughts because this is Reddit and most people are going to skim through this post while sitting on the toilet. Not once during that time did I have an urge to play Terror From the Deep, but something recently snapped within me. It was set underwater, but your soldiers walked around and threw grenades as if they were on dry land and everything was bright yellow.Ī quarter of a century later I decided to try it out. The general consensus was that it was Enemy Unknown with different graphics. I'm old enough to remember playing UFO: Enemy Unknown when it was new, way back in 1994, and I remember completely ignoring Terror From the Deep when it came out a year later.
